Random Thoughts -- RT, as I call it -- has modest ambitions. It is the forum that I use to share insights, information, and interpretations with interesting people from around the world. About once per month, I send out to this select group a collection of interesting etymologies, observations on what's happening in the world around us, and book and Web site reviews.
